Description

Highlander is an early-maturing long day onion that commercial farmers in the Northeast use to fill their early marketing slot. This variety produces large, slightly flattened globe shaped bulbs with lighter, thinner skin than a typical yellow long day variety. Highlander is disease resistance to downy mildew and Botrytis; can be planted in intermediate day areas, as well. Highlander’s thin, tight necks are appealing for their dry-down potential allowing you to stretch that storage potential a bit longer.
